The GREEN elective course offerings form is due on Wednesday.  Someone from the middle school will be coming to Camarena that day to collect them all.

MONDAY – We will be reading on the grass.  Bring a beach towel to sit on if you would like.

All students will take a picture.  These pictures will not be used for the yearbook or any other school purpose.  Parents will have the option to purchase pictures.

The district has created a survey to gather opinions from parents and staff.  The CVESD Thought Exchange can be accessed here.

Spring conferences are coming up.  These conferences will be student led.  For this reason, 3 families can sign up for each time slot.  I am using Sign Up Genius this quarter to schedule conferences.  You do not need to create an account.  Please use your child’s first/last name and your email address to sign up.  Let me know if you have any questions or if none of the times available work for you.  Sign Up Here

EastLake Middle School came to Camarena this morning to give an orientation to the 6th grade students.  Students are being sent home with an informational packet today.

Please turn in the green 7th grade Course Offerings form by March 4th to me.  If your child is interested in ELM Dual Language program, the blue form should also be turned in to me.  The middle school picks up the forms from Camarena the following day.

There is an informational parent night at 6pm at ELM on Wednesday February 19th.  If you cannot attend, there is another one on Thursday February 20th.

Students interested in Compacted Math (Accelerated speed) Program need to take a placement test.  The test is offered on April 21st, 22nd, and 23rd at 3:30pm.  It is NOT necessary for all students to take this math placement test – only students interested in the accelerated program.

There was an issue with the hoodie order and our class was short 8 medium hoodies.  If your child ordered a medium hoodie, this is already in the process of being fixed.  I am so sorry for the inconvenience for these 8 students.

Also, there is ONE MORE CHANCE to order a hoodie or a t-shirt if the money is in by this Thursday, February 13th.  If your child did not order a hoodie or a t-shirt and wants one, please send in $10 for a t-shirt and/or $20 for a hoodie by this Thursday along with the size (adult S M L XL).

Our class will have a small Valentine’s Day celebration in the afternoon of Thursday, February 13th.  If you would like to send valentine cards and/or candies with your child to distribute, we have 30 students in our class.  This is entirely optional!  If you do not want your child to receive candy treats from other students, please email me.
