Final Week of 6th Grade

Hello Families,

It’s finally here! Our fun-filled, final week of elementary school! Here’s the last run-down of activities.

solo_fandango_posterTUESDAY: We will walk to AMC for a viewing of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Students will get snack packs at the theater. After the show, we will briefly return to campus, prior to heading to Windingwalk Park. Please pack a light, healthy lunch students can eat when we get to the park, as we will miss the cafeteria. Students may bring yearbooks, beach towels, and sports equipment to share in team games. Please note, devices will not be brought on this trip. We will return to campus around 1:30 and participate in the regular 2:45 dismissal.

Students not attending the movie will be assigned to another classroom. If that is the only event they are missing, they will join us when we head to the park.

WEDNESDAY: Dress for an athletic day! Our students will participate in Olympic games in the morning, then compete against staff in a kickball game in the afternoon.

legolandTHURSDAY: Legoland, California! We will leave campus around 9 am. Students are highly encouraged to wear a Camarena shirt. Students will be placed in groups with a chaperone. They are allowed to bring, and are responsible for, extra money to use for food and/or souvenirs. They may bring their own sack lunch if they prefer. Cameras are allowed. NO PHONES OR BATHING SUITS. We will return at approximately 6pm.

FRIDAY: Promotion at Eastlake Church!!!! Students DO NOT come to school on Friday. The ceremony begins at 2pm; students must arrive no later than 1:30 (and not much earlier as there will be other ceremonies taking place that day). Please adhere to the dress code that was recently sent home. Students meet outside the entrance and parents may sit down inside. Our class (409) will enter and be seated on the RIGHT side of the auditorium (when facing the stage). Balloons will not be allowed in the church’s auditorium.

I would like to thank you for all of your support and for a fantastic year! Your kiddos have worked hard completing their last year of elementary and preparing for middle school. It has been such a pleasure watching them grow!  It has been hard being away these final days, but Miss Fonzi has been keeping me updated on happenings in the class!
